Technical Description of Naphtha

Naphtha refers to a group of liquid hydrocarbon mixtures that are highly volatile and flammable.

These compounds constitute approximately 11% of crude oil. Naphtha is

a primary and essential feedstock for the petrochemical industry.

 The term can apply to fully refined, partially refined, or unrefined petroleum fractions

Naphtha fractions are distilled at temperatures below 240°C. In terms of carbon atom count and boiling point, it is similar to gasoline. This fraction is considered a volatile component of petroleum, used either directly as a solvent or as a feedstock for producing gasoline and aromatic compounds.
